WHEREAS the indisputable “graying of America” is drastically increasing the need for nursing homes and other long-term care services, as more and more people live to an age when they require a significant amount of social, economic and health care supports, and
WHEREAS it frequently comes as a shock to older persons to discover that their Medicare insurance, even with Part B and supplemental “Medigap” policies, does not cover the majority of the cost of nursing home or community care,

URGES legislative measures that will deal with these issues and ameliorate these conditions.
