The Rabbinical Council of America, the leading organization of orthodox rabbis in North America, commends President Trump for his announcement supporting Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Rabbi Elazar Muskin, RCA president said, “There has long been bipartisan support for Israel’s security that has recognized the critical role of the Golan Heights has in Israel’s defense. We appreciate the president’s important statement supporting Israeli sovereignty over this land. We welcome the statements of leading members of Congress, both Republicans and Democrats, in affirming Israel’s right to security.”
Rabbi Daniel Korobkin, RCA vice president, added, “We thank Ambassador Nikki Haley, former US Ambassador to the United Nations, for emphasizing the US interest in the Golan Heights when she tweeted, ‘The Golan Heights are either Israeli or Syrian. America should never support giving an inch of territory to the barbaric war criminal Assad.’”
