Jun 1, 1996 — WHEREAS, the Rabbinical Council of America in convention assembled seeks to enhance the human condition with a sanctity which will move all G-d’s creatures to turn their hearts to G-d and
WHEREAS, the lofty principles of our Torah ethics underscore moral worth and human dignity as G-d’s imperatives and
WHEREAS, hateful words, violent speech or vitriolic statements have been expressed in political and religious circles creating acrimony and antagonism, and
WHEREAS, such language is beyond the bounds of halakhic propriety, contrary to the spirit of Judaism and inimical to fellowship or mutual respect
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT
the Rabbinical Council of America deplores the degradation of any human life, Jewish or non-Jewish, all children of one Creator.
