April 30, 2020 – with thanks to the Beth Din of America
When a highly unexpected event happens, a party’s contractual obligations may become difficult, unprofitable or impossible to perform. In “Cancelling Contracts Due to Pandemics: The Jewish and American Law Views,” Rabbi Michoel Zylberman and Professor Chaim Saiman discuss the issue from the perspectives of Jewish and American law, respectively.
