August 13, 2020 – The Rabbinical Council of America, the leading membership organization of orthodox rabbis in North America, welcomes President Donald Trump’s announcement of the historic establishment of “full normalization of relations” between the State of Israel and the United Arab Emirates which includes bilateral agreements in many areas of mutual interest and benefit as well as direct flights between the countries and the opening of reciprocal embassies.
Rabbi Daniel Korobkin, president of the RCA, stated, “The UAE is the third Arab country, following Egypt and Jordan, to recognize the State of Israel. This brave and bold move does much to advance peace, stability and prosperity in the region. We hope that this will clear the path for other states to do the same. We applaud Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, and President Donald Trump for their valiant efforts in furthering the cause of peace in the Middle East.”
