RCA Shares in World’s Horror over Nepal Earthquake

The Rabbinical Council of America shares in the world’s horror over the terrible loss of lives in the recent Nepal earthquake. Our mentor, the late, Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik, of blessed memory, reminded us that “the responsibility implicit in human existence” makes it our duty to respond to the world in crisis. As members of the world community, and as Jews, we mourn the rising death toll and colossal destruction caused by the earthquake in Nepal. We call upon the members of our community to support the massive relief efforts underway. The RCA applauds the efforts of the American and Israeli governments in providing emergency aid to the Nepal community, and supports the Nepal Relief Fund of the Federations of North America.
