Rabbi Ronald L. Schwarzberg serves as the Director of the Morris and
Gertrude Bienenfeld Department of Jewish Career Development and
Placement, a division of Yeshiva University’s Center for the Jewish
Future (CJF), placing hundreds of RIETS and RCA rabbis in
congregations. He helps congregations assess and evaluate their
needs and their direction in the process of rabbinic transition.
Rabbi Schwarzberg served from 1986-2005 as senior rabbi of
Congregation Ahavas Achim, Highland Park, NJ, and prior as associate
rabbi of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale, NY.
Rabbi Schwarzberg serves on the RCA Retirement Plan Committee
and has served as co-chair of the Community Relations Council of the
Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County and as chair of the
Rabbinic Cabinet of the United Jewish Communities.
Rabbi Schwarzberg earned his National Academy of Sports Medicine
Certification in Personal Training. In recent years he has focused on
the importance of the synergy between physical well-being and
Rabbi Schwarzberg is married to Morah Judy, a preschool teacher at
the Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva. Together they have four children:
Rabbi Ari (and Naomi), Elana Kurtz (and Rabbi Elie), Aviva Reich (and Philip),
and Shayna Itzhak (and Noam). They are proud grandparents of eleven.
