RCA Condemns Terror Shooting at Jerusalem Synagogue on Shabbat

January 27, 2023 – The Rabbinical Council of America (RCA) condemns the vicious attack perpetrated against Israeli citizens as they exited a Jerusalem synagogue Friday evening. The innocent victims of terror, seven dead and three wounded, were attacked as they concluded Shabbat prayers. The RCA extends condolences to the bereaved families and prays for the recovery of those injured. In addition, it supports the Israeli government’s efforts to protect its citizens’ safety and welfare.

Rabbi Binyamin Blau, president of the RCA, said, “We are appalled by those who refer to this terrorist as a hero or freedom fighter. Such acts of terror are cold-blooded and are expressions of cowardice and evil. We call upon the civilized world to condemn this attack against these innocent men and women.”
