RCA Calls for End of Vigilante Response to Terror

February 28, 2023 – The Rabbinical Council of America expresses deep concern over the vigilante violence committed against the village and residents of Huwara and other Palestinian targets in response to the horrific terror attacks perpetrated against Israeli citizens and against members of the Israeli Defense Forces attempting to maintain quiet and security.

Rabbi Binyamin Blau, president of the RCA, said, “Those who perpetrate acts of terror against Israelis must be brought to justice; innocents deserve to live in safety and security. Thank God, the State of Israel, about to celebrate 75 years of independence, has superior and effective military and police forces which protect the welfare of its citizens. We call on all Israelis to refrain from vigilantism and to support the government’s security apparatuses, enabling them, in a lawful and professional manner, to safeguard the safety of all Israelis.”
