Jun 1, 1981 — VI. RAOUL WALLENBERG
The Rabbinical Council of America in convention assembled,
REMEMBERS with deep gratitude the humanitarian efforts of Raoul Wallenberg, a citizen of the Kingdom of Sweden, who during the dark days of World War II risked his life to save thousands of victims of Nazism;
IS CONCERNED at persistent and unabating speculation that Wallenberg is not dead, but a prisoner somewhere in the Soviet Union;
CALLS UPON THE SOVIET UNION AND UPON THE WORLD to bring fully into the open all facts related to the whereabouts of Mr. Wallenberg;
SHARES the sadness and grief of his family in their trials and uncertainties;
APPLAUDS the act of Congress of the United States conferring honorary American citizenship upon this great and noble person.
May he be in God’s protection wherever he is!
