Rabbi Yosef Weinstock has served the Young Israel of Hollywood – Ft. Lauderdale since 2005, initially as the synagogue’s first-ever Assistant Rabbi. He recently assumed the position of Senior Rabbi. During his tenure, the congregation has more than doubled in size. Today Young Israel of Hollywood – Ft. Lauderdale is a dynamic 600 family multigenerational Modern Orthodox synagogue community. Rabbi Weinstock was born and raised in New Haven, CT. He graduated from Yeshiva University, and earned a Masters in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. He attained semicha from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. He is a Volunteer Chaplain for the Memorial Health System. Rabbi Weinstock is a member of the National Board of Mizrachi- Religious Zionists of America, and he was recently elected as a Vice Chair to Israel Bonds Rabbinic Advisory Council. Rabbi Weinstock is married to Rebecca, a Speech Language Pathologist in the Broward County School System. Rabbi Yosef and Rebecca Weinstock have been recognized by Bikur Cholim of Hollywood, Young Israel of Hollywood – Ft. Lauderdale and Brauser Maimonides Academy for their community service. They are blessed with four children.
