Rabbi Ira Jaskoll

Rabbi Ira Jaskoll presently serves as the Jewish Chaplain at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. He also is the FDU Hillel Faculty Advisor. He recently gave the benediction at MetLife Stadium at the 2017 FDU Commencement Ceremony. Rabbi Jaskoll teaches in the FDU Yeshiva & Seminary Program, where he previously was its director, at Lander College of Touro College and University System such Jewish courses as a unique course in "Sports Management II: Jews in Sports,” and in the Adelphi University School of Business. He is the playoff winning coach of the Junior Varsity Basketball Team at Yeshiva Heichal Hatorah in Teaneck, NJ. Rabbi Jaskoll served as the Associate Dean of the Sy Syms School of Business of Yeshiva University for many years. While serving as Interim Dean, the school grew to its largest enrollment ever, close to 800 students. Rabbi Jaskoll does Jewish Sports Marketing and Consulting and has worked with the New York Yankees on a Kosher Fantasy Camp and the Brooklyn Cyclones, New Jersey Jackals, Rockland Boulders, Lakewood Blueclaws, and the Hudson Valley Renegades on their Jewish Heritage Day. He is a former gabbai, Board member, and chairman of the Nursery School Committee of Cong. Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck. He is married to Chani Jaskoll who teaches art at SAR Academy. He is prolific contributor to many local Anglo-Jewish publications. He recently visited the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel having won a Bronze Medal in Basketball in the 1999 PanAmerican Maccabiah Games.
