Rabbi Shlomo Weissmann serves as the menahel (Director) of the Beth Din of America (www.bethdin.org), the rabbinical court affiliated with the Rabbinical Council of America.
He received rabbinical ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University in 2001, where he will receive advanced ordination (Yadin Yadin) in March of 2014.
He graduated in 2001 from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Prior to his association with the Beth Din of America, Rabbi Weissmann worked as an attorney at several law firms, including Debevoise and Plimpton LLP.
He lives in Passaic, New Jersey with his wife Deborah and their three children.
