Rabbi Ron Yitzchok Eisenman

Congregation Ahavas Israel, Passaic, NJ

Dec 22, 2008

Rabbi Ron Yitzchok Eisenman has lead Congregation Ahavas Israel since 1997. His warmth, charisma, and active involvement in community issues have not only enabled the shul to grow significantly, but also made him a beloved rav in the entire Passaic-Clifton community. As the kehilla grew so did his responsibilities at the shul; Rabbi Eisenman spends the majority of the day involved with the kehilla, and its members.

Rabbi Eisenman's "Short Vort" is a daily staple in hundreds of households throughout the country and abroad. He teaches daily at the shul, giving Daf Yomi and many other shiurim. On Shabbos, he teaches six different classes, and in the winter he hosts a popular Friday night tisch which attracts men, women and kids from the local neighborhood.

Born in Brooklyn, he attended high school at the Yeshiva of Flatbush. He continued his learning in RIETS (Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Semimary, an affiliate of Yeshiva University) and at yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel.

After learning in kollel for six years and receiving semicha from Rav Yosef Dov Soleveitchik zt"l (Yoreh Yoreh) and from the Kollel L’dayanus (Yadin Yadin), he began his carrer serving the Jewish community.

Rabbi Eisenman first taught at the Manhattan Talmudic Academy and from there went on to teach for twelve years at the Yeshiva of North Jersey. Subsequent to those positions, he has taught at Bruriah High School for Girls, and at the Bais Yaakov of Passaic High School for Girls. He is also a speaker and scholar-in-residence in communities throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Rabbi Eisenman and his wife, Yehudis, are blessed with seven children and two grandchildren.
