Rabbi Fox co-founded SHIFRA in Melbourne, an organization that provides Halachic guidance and supervision for people undergoing fertility treatment. Upon arrival in South Africa, he established the organisation locally which supervises treatments in multiple clinics and multiple cities. At the time, Rabbi Fox secured the Haskoma of Rabbi Moshe Halberstam zt”l for the supervision standards implemented by SHIFRA. Rabbi Fox is also the Menahel Ruchni and founder of the Yeshiva LeRabbonus Pretoria, which commenced following the closure of the Machon Lehora’a. He is also a Maggid Shiur in the Yeshiva teaching the Hosafos and practical Rabbinics. Rabbi Fox is the chairman of the South African Rabbinical Association. He was asked to participate in the Dayonus learning program under the Beth Din of South Africa which he is still involved with. As the Rabbi of the Pretoria Jewish community, his involvement covers the spectrum of Jewish life in the city. "We were asked why we moved from Australia to South Africa, as the general trend is in the opposite direction. The answer is easy, the diversity of activities and responsibilities, from a Yeshiva to a retirement home, from social welfare to outreach, Pretoria provides a wide range of communal activities and responsibilities beyond the regular pastoral duties. Such opportunities for avodas Hakodesh and shlichus are a great challenge, privilege and zechus." He is married to Aviva and they have eight children, bli ayin hora, four boys and four girls.
