Rabbi Ezra Goldschmiedt has served as rabbi of Congregation Sha'arei Torah (Cincinnati) since 2013. As Sha’arei Torah’s first rabbi, he has overseen its growth and establishment as a fixture in the Cincinnati Jewish community, open and welcoming towards a large range of members in its beautiful new home. Rabbi Goldschmiedt graduated with highest honors from Yeshiva University in 2008, where he went on to receive his rabbinic ordination and a masters in Jewish education. Over the course of his studies, Rabbi Goldschmiedt served as a research assistant in Yeshiva University's psychology department and Azrieli Graduate School, while also taking on teaching and rabbinical roles for the DRS High School for Boys, Mount Kisco Hebrew Congregation and Aish Connections. Prior to joining Sha'arei Torah, Rabbi Goldschmiedt served as the rabbinic assistant of Congregation Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto (BAYT), and as a fellow of Toronto's Yeshiva University/Torah MiTzion Beit Midrash Zichron Dov. In addition to his role with Congregation Sha’arei Torah, Rabbi Goldschmiedt also serves as a teacher at the Atara High School for Girls. He is also a member of the Beis Din of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Kosher, administering its conversion court under the auspices of the RCA. Rabbi Goldschmiedt and his wife Elyssa are blessed with five children: Yitzchak Noam, Chanan, Ilan, Yair, and Tani.
