Rabbi David Glicksman has served as Director of Pastoral Services at the Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged in Somerset, New Jersey, since August 1991.

He as born in the Bronx, New York, and studied in various schools of Yeshiva University, receiving his BA in 1965, his Rabbinic Ordination in 1968, and his MS in Jewish Education in 1968.

From 1970-1988, Rabbi Glicksman served as spiritual leader of Congregation Etz Ahaim, a Sephardic congregation in Highland Park, NJ. During that time he was active in, and served as chairman of the Rabbinical Association of Greater Middlesex County. He was also actively involved in the Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva, the Vaad Hakashruth of Raritan Valley, the Rabbinical Council of New Jersey, and New Jersey Coalition of Religious leaders, the Rabbinical Council of America and the Rabbinic Alumni of Yeshiva University.

From 1988-1991, Rabbi Glicksman served as spiritual leader of Congregation Beth Israel in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was actively involved in the Jewish community and its activities, such as the Rabbinical Association of Greater Kansas City, the Vaad Hakashruth and the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy.

In August of 1991, Rabbi Glicksman returned to central New Jersey to assume the position of Director of Pastoral Services at the Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged. Subsequently, he completed four units of CPE at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and became certified by the National Association of Jewish Chaplains. He has continued in the CPE track as a Supervisor in Training under the auspicies of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

He is currently Vice President of the National Association of Jewish Chaplains, and is President of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Chaplains in Long Term Care.

Rabbi Glicksman is married to Leah, a bilingual teacher in the North Plainfield Public School system, and has three children and ten grandchildren.
