The Rabbinical Council of America, the leading organization of orthodox rabbis in North America, extends its gratitude to you for the historic opening of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem on May 14, 2018. The administration’s implementation of your promise is recognition of the importance that Jews have attached to Jerusalem for more than 3,000 years. The opening of the embassy in Jerusalem grants Israel the legitimacy to establish its own capital, a right accorded to every other country in the world.
The members of the Rabbinical Council echo Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration, “What a glorious day. Remember this moment. This is history.”
We pray that Mr. Jared Kushner’s prediction that “we will look back on this day” and remember that “the journey to peace started with a strong America recognizing the truth” will soon come true.
