Our chaver, Rav Ariel Rackovsky, is the rav of Shaarei Tefilla in Dallas, TX.
As you know, Dallas- as well as the rest of the state- has suffered tremendously as a result of the spate of cold weather. People have been without power for days, food is in short or non-existent supply and many have suffered significant water damage due to burst pipes. Chaveirim of Dallas has been working tirelessly to help with cleanup, and is working together with organizations in the Northeast to bring plumbers to help the Jewish community with repairs. The costs of such a project are significant (about $10K a day for 10 trucks), but the rewards for saving the finances and property of a fellow Jew are as well.
