The following minutes were approved at the June, 2010 meeting of the Executive Committee:
At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America, held at the Young Israel of Scarsdale, Sunday, April 25, 2010, the president in the chair, and Barry Kornblau acting on behalf of the secretary, the following items were decided:
1. There was a motion to table motion from previous EC meeting regarding public statements about women rabbis, since now moot. Passed unanimously.
2. Should the vote on constitutional amendments be by hand or by ballot? 12 EC members voted for each method. To break the tie, Pres. Kletenik voted to vote by hand.
3. Motion to establish annual Rabbi Jacob Rubenstein Rabbinic Achievement. Passed unanimously.
4. Motion to accept new member application from David Shatz. Passed unanimously.
