Rabbi Daniel Rockoff

Rabbi Dani Rockoff grew up on Newton, MA and graduated from Maimonides School in Brookline, MA. He studied for two years at Yeshivat Shaalvim in Israel and received his Semicha from RIETS. He holds two Masters degrees, an MS in Jewish Education and Administration from AGS and an MA in Bible from BRGS. He is currently pursuing an MPA from UMKC. Rabbi Rockoff and his wife, Dr. Ayala, a school psychologist, moved to Overland Park in 2008. Rabbi Rockoff serves as Rabbi of Congregation BIAV. Prior to that, the Rockoff’s lived in West Orange, NJ, where he served as Assistant Rabbi of Congregation AABJ&D. In addition to shul responsibilities, Rabbi Rockoff oversees many local communal institutions, including the Overland Park Eruv; the Kansas Mikvah Association; the Chevra Kadisha of Greater Kansas City; the Matmidim Program at the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, where he served as Dean; and Rav Hamachshir of the Vaad Hakashruth of KC. One recent initiative Rabbi Rockoff brought to Kansas is communal wide study of Daf Hashavua dafaweek.org Rabbi Rockoff and Ayala have four children.
