The Rabbinical Council of America Condemns Defacement of Christian Holy Sites in Jerusalem

The Rabbinical Council of America, the largest organization of orthodox rabbis in the world, condemns the recent attack on Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. The malicious defacement of property belonging to other religious institutions is a violation of Jewish principles. We support Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement that “the Jewish values according to which we were raised and according to which we raise our children reject outright such behavior.” Rabbi Shmuel Goldin, president of the RCA sated, “We call on the Israeli police to redouble their efforts in protecting religious properties and in bringing these vandals to justice.”
