RCA Condemns Palestinian Violence and Terror

May 11, 2021 – The Rabbinical Council of America, the leading membership organization of orthodox rabbis in North America, views with extreme concern the rising violence and terror attacks perpetrated against innocent Israeli civilians, military, and law enforcement by members of Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists. We mourn the deaths of two Israelis in Ashkelon killed by rockets fired from Gaza and pray for the recovery of those who are injured and traumatized by the hundreds of rockets launched against civilian populations. We similarly pray for the recovery of police and soldiers injured in attacks on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and throughout the country as they endeavor to restore tranquility and calm. We call on governments around the world to condemn these terrorist actions.

Heeding the directive of King David to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalms 126:6), we pray for the restoration of calm throughout Israel and for peace and tranquility for all its inhabitants.
