Q: Can we keep the gabba’im six feet away from the bima during kerias ha-Torah? Do they need to be in the vicinity? What’s considered “vicinity?” Should we let the olim return to their seats after each Aliyah in order to minimize people being on top of each other around the bima?
A: One person goes to the Sefer Torah and he gets all the aliyas. The same person should be the one who takes out the Torah and does hagba and then put is down on the table and does gelila and also it to the Aron Kodesh. He should make two new brachos on each aliya.
