Whereas unemployment remains at uncharacteristically high levels, and Whereas many individuals incomes have been drastically reduced by recession, and Whereas government assistance has been cut back, in many instances, to lower and middle income families, therefore be it resolved that the The Rabbinical Council of America in convention assembled, CALL on our government officials to extend Medicaid, social and welfare assistance to those who need them but are unable to pay for them because of current conditions. |
