The following minutes were approved at the November, 2011 meeting of the Executive Committee:

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America, held at the RCA office on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, the President, Shmuel Goldin in the chair, and Miriam Perechocky acting on behalf of the secretary, the following items were decided:

1. A motion to accept the minutes of the June, 2011 meeting passed unanimously.

2. A resolution by a number of Executive Committee members to establish a committee on committees to recommend committees to the executive was defeated by a vote of 39 to 11 with 1 abstention.

3. President Goldin sought and received support for the motion to establish new and reconstituted committees, including the Internet Usage Guidelines Committee, the Membership Committee, the Military Chaplaincy Committee, the Rabbinic Welfare Committee, the Semicha Standards Committee, and the Transition Committee.

4. President Goldin sought and received support for the motion to table the membership applications that were currently ready to be considered by the Executive Committee so that the newly formed membership committee can begin its work of interviewing applicants.
