Rabbi Mordechai Rhine, originally of Monsey, NY, is Rav of Southeast Hebrew Congregation- Knesset Yehoshua in the White Oak community of Silver Spring, MD. He received semicha from Rabbi Berel Wein, as well as from Rabbi Shmuel Meir Katz of BMG in Lakwood, NJ, and holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Bellevue University. From 1998- 2013 Rabbi Rhine served in Cherry Hill, NJ in varying capacities including Rabbi of Young Israel of Cherry Hill, Director of Torah Links (Community Outreach Division of BMG, Lakewood), and Rebbe in Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Cherry Hill- Foxman Torah Institute. He is also the founder and director of TEACH613™, an organization which promotes Torah classes through live and virtual media. His Take Ten for Talmud- Highlights of Daf Yomi- are featured at Torahdownloads.com as well as at www.teach613.org where samples of the Perek Shira Project and his weekly Parsha message can also be viewed. Rabbi Rhine is the author of "The Magic of Shabbos: A Journey Through the Shabbos Experience," published by The Judaica Press (1998). Southeast Hebrew Congregation welcomed Rabbi Rhine in August 2013. As a Rav in Silver Spring, Rabbi Rhine serves on the Executive Board of the Vaad HaRabbanim, as a Dayan on the Beis Din for Geirus, and as an auditor/supervisor for the Capital-K Kashrus certification.
