Rabbi Friedfertig currently works at Yeshivat Ateret Yerushalayim (formerly known as Ateret Cohanim) as transcriber, translator and transmitter of the Torah of the R. Shlomo Aviner.

Through parashah sheets, Q&A from Rav Aviner's radio call-in shows, responsa, articles and forthcoming books, Rabbi Friedfertig spreads Rav Aviner's unfailing optimism, tolerance and love all Jews, and dedication to the Land of Israel, the State of Israel and Tzahal to the English-speaking world. Rabbi Friedfertig has also authored a book in Hebrew, "Kum Hithalek Ba-Aretz", regarding the halachot of traveling in Israel. It contains a short madrich with all of the rulings (with comments by Rav Neventzal) and then long Teshuvot explaining the rulings.

Rabbi Friedfertig received semichah from Yeshivat Bnei Torah under the leadership of Rav Yisrael Chait.

Rabbi Friedfertig and his family fulfilled their long-time dream of making aliyah this past summer from Buffalo. He served as a rabbi in Buffalo for nine years and helped to create a modern Orthodox Shul, Kehillat Ohr Tzion, which is still thriving. He also served as the coordinator of Judaic Studies for the Kadimah Day-School and taught at the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School. Regarding his time in Buffalo, he is most proud of creating a shul with a mechitza, having wonderful relationships with many types of Jews in Buffalo, and working closely with the rabbis of the Young Israel of Greater Buffalo.

Rabbi Friedfertig lives in Maaleh Adumin together with his wife Orly, who is an historian of Jewish art and a decorative wall painter, and their three children, Bezalel, Yalta and Aholiav.
